Parks Councillors Launch Clean Up Parks Campaign

PARKS LABOUR COUNCILLORS got their hands dirty last weekend cleaning up a litter blighted field in Parks North as part of a new Clean Up Parks initiative  Councillors Mark Dempsey, Steve Allsopp and Fay Howard donned their gloves and took their litter pickers and black bags and spent Saturday cleaning up parkland between Lyndhurst Crescent and Dulverton Avenue, and are asking Parks residents to tell them where to clean up next.

Cllr Mark Dempsey said: ‘Cleaning up litter is one way we can make difference and make Parks a better place to live.  This is a start, and we will be going out regularly to clean up litter in Parks.  We would love anyone that wants to help, to come and join us’.

‘We also want Parks residents to tell us where they need our help.  If residents want us to help clean up their area they can email the team at mark@markdempsey.org.uk.  We will be working hard to clean up Parks, but of course it would be even better if everyone could do their bit and take more care to put their litter in a bin or take it home with them.  Let’s work together and show that we are all proud of Parks.’
